From March 29 through March 31, 2027, we are delighted to welcome you to Sarasota for our biennial FlowerManager retreat! Bringing our clients and staff together in one place gives us the opportunity to exchange ideas in person and create stronger relationships across The Bloominati Collective. As in previous years, the retreat will combine interactive daytime sessions with social gatherings, giving you plenty of opportunities to learn and connect with the GravityFree team and with each other. Two featured locations, Art Ovation Hotel and GravityFree HQ, will host the experience this year, which promises to be the best yet!
The FlowerManager Retreat will begin with a welcome reception at GravityFree HQ. This opening gathering will give you a chance to say hello, reconnect with familiar faces, and meet new people before the full program begins. The atmosphere will be welcoming and social, setting the tone for the days ahead.
Take part in interactive sessions from 10am to 4pm. Sessions will be designed to encourage participation, conversation, and practical idea-sharing after the initial presentations conclude. A catered lunch will be served during the day. Following the sessions, we will gather for a private rooftop reception at 5pm on Art Ovation rooftop. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Set against the Sarasota skyline, the reception will give us a chance to continue conversations in a more casual setting.
The final day will include another full schedule of interactive sessions from 10am to 4pm. These conversations will build on the previous day's ideas and give you space to explore new strategies, ask questions, and share perspectives with both GravityFree staff and fellow clients. The retreat will conclude with a curated closing celebration in Downtown Sarasota at 5pm. This final gathering will allow us to reflect on the experience and end the retreat on an upbeat note.
Art Ovation Hotel is a 4-star boutique hotel located at 1255 North Palm Avenue in sunny Sarasota. It features a rooftop pool, an on-site Mediterranean restaurant named Tzeva, and rotating art galleries in the lobby. Art Ovation Hotel will serve as the main gathering place during the FlowerManager retreat, giving you a convenient home base downtown. Some of you are already familiar with this Sarasota landmark, so you know that no matter where you are in the building, there is something stimulating to see. The hotel highlights creative programming throughout the property, giving the space a gallery-inspired energy. It is stylish, welcoming, and full of details that make the atmosphere an ideal home away from home.
All sessions will take place at this location for ease of attendance. You can also meet up with other Bloominati Collective members, continue conversations from the day's sessions, and take a break between activities. The rooftop will also be part of the retreat experience. After a full day of learning, you will be able to head upstairs for the cocktail reception, where you can relax, chat with fellow florists and GravityFree staff, and enjoy gorgeous views of Sarasota.
At Art Ovation, you can expect an easy transition between retreat sessions, meals, and social time. The downtown location puts restaurants, shops, galleries, and other Sarasota attractions nearby, ideal for exploring the area before or after scheduled events. It is a fitting option for anyone who wants to enjoy the city without traveling far.

In the wake of a tumultuous hurricane season in 2024, the GravityFree team embarked on a search for a new office, as the space we'd occupied for nearly three decades was no longer a viable option. As a collaborative, tight-knit team, a home base that facilitates our collective work is essential. Fortunately, the search for the perfect space came to an end in the summer of 2025, when the team took over the second floor of 1962 Main Street in Sarasota, known as The Archibald Building.
Formerly the home of a vintage bookstore beloved by longtime locals, it quickly became apparent that the GravityFree team had found the Mothership. Large windows allow abundant natural light to fill the north end of the office during the day, which faces out to a bustling Main Street that's become more and more lively as years pass. Exposed brick walls, wooden floors, and wide open ceilings create an artsy yet professional atmosphere. Each employee has favorite spots for iced coffee runs and lunch orders. The Main Street corridor is excellent for lunchtime walks down to the marina and back. Best of all, we have a space to gather and share ideas, which is the foundation that keeps us innovating and moving forward in the quest to Dominate Floral.
